NEVADA – Today, as our nation witnesses the Electoral College certifying the election, we reaffirm our commitment to building a Nevada where everyone, regardless of their background, immigration status, or story, has the opportunity to thrive. While leadership in the White House changes, Make the Road Nevada’s dedication to justice, equity, and inclusion remains steadfast.

Leo Murrieta, Executive Director of Make the Road Nevada, issued the following statement:
“As this new administration has been certified, we face significant challenges. Proposals for mass deportations, attacks on reproductive freedom, the environment, healthcare, and threats to LGBTQ+ rights aim to divide us. But fear will not define us. We remain committed to organizing, advocating, and demanding policies that uplift every family, worker, and community member who calls Nevada home.

Our communities are the backbone of Nevada. From medical offices to crowded street corners where vendors share their culture and livelihood, we are everywhere, keeping this state running.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Make the Road Nevada rose to meet the moment.
Like water, we adapted, flowed, and broke through barriers, providing food, resources, and hope to those left behind. This resilience and solidarity will guide us forward. No matter the challenges ahead, we will continue fighting for justice and equity. ¡Sí Se Puede!”

NEVADA – Hoy, mientras nuestra nación presencia la certificación de las elecciones por parte del Colegio Electoral, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso de construir un Nevada donde todos, sin importar su origen, estatus migratorio o historia, tengan la oportunidad de prosperar. Aunque el liderazgo en la Casa Blanca cambie, la dedicación de Make the Road Nevada a la justicia, la equidad y la inclusión sigue siendo firme.
