Born into a working-class family, Aaron watched his parents do everything they could to keep the lights on and food on the table. His dad stocked produce at Safeway. His mom picked up odd jobs. And when times got tight, they tightened their belts – like so many Nevada families still do today.
After his junior year in college, Aaron became a father. A few months later, he became a single dad. Medicaid helped him keep his son healthy. Food stamps kept them fed. And public education gave him a path forward.
Aaron moved to Nevada because he believed it was a place where anyone could make a good life. And when he saw how badly the system was failing families like his, he stepped up to serve.
In 2019, Aaron became the first Black Attorney General in Nevada history – and has since become one of the most effective AGs in the country.
Now, Aaron is running for Governor to build a Nevada where every family – no matter their zip code or background – has the chance not just to get by, but to get ahead.
