Assemblymember Joe Dalia Announces Campaign for Nevada State Treasurer

Assemblymember Joe Dalia, attorney, entrepreneur, father, and proud Nevadan, is excited to announce his candidacy for Nevada State Treasurer. Rooted deeply in Nevada’s pioneering spirit, Dalia’s vision for the office is to invest in long-term, forward-looking, generational change, while also bringing immediate solutions to our most pressing issues.

“I’m running for State Treasurer to make life easier, better, and more affordable for everyday Nevadans. I believe it’s time for the next generation of leaders to step up, take charge, and lead us into the future,” said Joe Dalia. “It’s time to modernize outdated systems and immediately address the out-of-control cost-of-living crisis. It’s time to invest in big, bold, long-term solutions to create generational opportunities for every Nevadan. And it’s time to build an economy that is fairer, more equal, and works for every Nevada family.”

About Joe Dalia

Home started meaning Nevada at age 10, when Joe and his family moved to Henderson. The son of a working-class union family and a proud public school product—from Estes McDoniel Elementary through Coronado High School—Dalia understands firsthand the stakes of responsible state financial leadership and community investments.

After becoming the first member of his family to graduate from a four-year college, earning a degree in Economics and Political Science with high honors from Boston University, Dalia went on to serve as the CFO and COO of a small technology startup. He then graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan Law School, pursuing a legal career in the technology and investment sectors, providing data privacy and other legal counseling to the world’s largest tech firms, venture capital firms, and financial institutions—before returning home to Nevada to raise his family and serve his community.

As the Assemblymember from District 29, Dalia represents the very same neighborhood he grew up in at the Nevada State Legislature. During the 2025 Legislative Session, Dalia introduced innovative economic development legislation in AB239 and AJR8, helping attract the largest venture capital investment firm in the nation to Nevada and drive millions in new business incorporation revenue. Dalia also worked to expand opportunity, defend freedoms, and fight for every Nevadan.

Dalia lives in Henderson with his wife and three daughters: Vivian, and twins Audrey and Sloane.
